Training Hikes

We planned to do a lot of hiking to prepare for the Inca Trail.  Among the challenges is the high altitude.  Cuzco, the starting point of the trek, is at nearly 12,000′ elevation.  We did some hiking, though mostly near sea level. Off to Peru this Friday

The first leg of our trip is to visit the Peruvian Amazon. Our flight from LAX will take us to Lima overnight and then on to Puerto Maldonado.
